We know this integration is the same experience as love.
We’ve intuitively known this for longer than we may consciously acknowledge – that’s why we’re waiting for a brand to give us permission to say athletes like us play like this.
The culture of sport has pushed us to the edge because the current culture can’t explain what we feel. We are seekers. The status we’re seeking isn’t domination over the opponent, it’s connection to something bigger than ourselves THROUGH SPORT.
We’re searching for connection. Not surface connection, but deep visceral connection over what it means to transcend our body when we compete.
We want to slow down and enjoy the process of our sport – the meditation of BEING AN ATHLETE – without sacrificing performance AND we know that’s possible.
We want to LET GO of our attachment to winning, of being judged by our performance, of judging ourselves by our performance so we can get back to an authentic, deep sense of love for who we are as a human being.
We want to master the mental game and we’re tired of sports psychology and seated meditation being the only path to connecting mind with body. We’re done with slumping play and want to know why we can’t outthink it, no matter how hard we try!
We want our communication – verbally, physically, mentally and emotionally – to grow and represent who we are the same way that playing our sport does.
We want to transfer knowledge from ancient wisdom traditions to our experience performing as an athlete today.
We care about learning how to take our visualizations of performance and turn them into reality.
We CRAVE the ability to push the edges of what our body is capable of from a place of LOVE – not ANGER, greed or selfishness.
We’re spiritual, even though sometimes we don’t know what to do with that word. How do we explain what happens in flow? Why is it so hard to get back to the zone?
We know the answer to these questions isn’t “do another rep” or “rise and grind.”
It’s never only about the sport for us. We might be called to multiple sports in our life. It’s about the feeling we experience when we PLAY. The brands we resonate with represent a vibration of living and that we genuinely feel good following and representing.
